Se unirán las cubanas al reclamo de Marcha Mundial de Mujeres

Las cubanas se unirán al reclamo de la Marcha Mundial de las Mujeres (MMM) contra la pobreza y la violencia que pasará por esta capital desde el 10 al 12 de abril próximo. Magalys Arocha, miembro del Secretariado Nacional de la Federación de Mujeres Cubanas dijo hoy que la MMM escogió a La Habana como punto de relevo para recibir la Manta de la Solidaridad y dar lectura a la Carta de las Mujeres a la Humanidad. 

Subaryó que esta selección es un reconocimiento a la Isla por su continuada práctica de dar y recibir apoyo internacional a todas las causas justas del mundo, condenar el capitalismo como sistema social generador de violencia y pobreza y resistir durante 46 años el bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero del gobierno de Estados Unidos. Las Casas de Orientación a la Mujer y la Familia de los 169 municipios del país realizarán el día 11 de abril debates sobre los puntos esenciales que recoge la misiva femenina al mundo, los cuales son libertad, igualdad, justicia, paz y solidaridad.

Un acto masivo en la Tribuna Antiimperialista “José Martí” será efectuado el 12 de abril próximo para dar lectura a la Carta de las Mujeres a la Humanidad con el aporte de los reclamos de las nacionales. En ese encuentro, además, se adjuntará a la Manta de la Solidaridad un retazo cubano, tejido por manos de federadas, principalmente del municipio de Ciudad de La Habana.   Esta marcha femenina seguirá su periplo hacia Honduras, para continuar el recorrido global en sentido de las manecillas del reloj, y está prevista que concluya el 17 de octubre en Burkina Faso, con un acto mundial. La MMM comenzó este año el ocho de marzo en Brasil y ha transitado por Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia, Trinidad y Tobago y Haití.
